Together

The Wardrobe Initiative

The Wardrobe story so far

Thread Together does more than just supply clothing – we provide a dignified, safe and positive environment where choice and service is provided. This is done through our ‘Wardrobe’ initiative.

A store that doesn’t ask for money, its currency is love and support.  Thread Together is creating dedicated spaces placed in locations that can have the most impact.  Our Wardrobes are placed on-site by social service agencies such as charities and community centres, stocked full of new clothing and shoes to help our friends in need.

Our goal is to establish 20 ‘Wardrobes’ in charities around Australia over a two year period

Be a sponsor

Inside our Wardrobes, people can change their clothes and their lives. These spaces are secure and welcoming, giving people in need the chance to try on and choose clothes to suit their personal circumstances, personality and taste. Often, this can be the first crucial step towards finding employment, making community connections or simply feeling valued as a person.

Maintained by our charity partners, with corporate sponsors funding operational expenses, Wardrobes are a true collaborative initiative that give all involved an opportunity to make a huge impact on our community.

Our wonderful shopfitting partners Storepro have generously donated fitout for all 20 planned Wardrobes.

Be a sponsor

Sponsor a wardrobe

Thread Together offers a range of flexible sponsorship options to suit organisations looking for ways to make a meaningful contribution to the community at an individual level.

Wardrobe
You can contribute by sponsoring an on-site wardrobe placed at a charity or community centre location. Choose from sponsoring one wardrobe within a sector that suits your organisation’s values, or sponsor wardrobes across a whole sector. For example, support one women’s refuge, or support all women’s refuges with Thread Together.

By sponsoring a Wardrobe, you can engage your team in meaningful and rewarding programs and team-building activities by getting them involved, from managing inventory to helping our customers.

– Sponsorship includes branding on site, and listing as a sponsor on all marketing material, including the Thread Together website
– Sponsorship fee is based on the number of clients expected to be helped. $5 provides one person with a full wardrobe, so a sponsorship fee is quickly calculated based on these numbers.
– Minimum term is 2 years
– 100% tax deductible.

Mobile Wardrobe
Our Mobile Wardrobe initiative takes our concept directly to the needy, with fully fitted out mobile vans taking Thread Together to the streets and the people. This concept allows us to provide grassroots support to those sleeping rough, or support disaster relief initiatives such as post-bushfire.

Like our on-site wardrobes, by sponsoring a Mobile Wardrobe you create an opportunity for your staff to participate in rewarding and meaningful personal development and team building activities.

– Sponsorship includes highly visible and mobile branding on van, and listing as a sponsor on all marketing material, including the Thread Together website
– Sponsorship fees are $80,000 for initial investment in year 1, and $20,000 p.a. thereafter
– Minimum term is 2 years
– 100% tax deductible
